About Sparks for Success
Sparks for Success takes a pro-active approach to children affected by parental incarceration. Through free in-school music therapy Sparks teaches our students how to build resilience and overcome trauma, enabling them to succeed in school and in life. Sparks' goal is to break the cycle of crime and poverty that can be prevalent among these children. By helping them develop their resilience, our kids are more likely to stay in school, learn to navigate their hurdles in a positive way, and get the support they need to grow into healthy adults and vibrant community members.
