Hi, I’m Anna, Aka: nan, nana, miss Anna, pastor, yp, art lady, ms. Art, coach and the aka list grows. But for now I am Aka: SRC Youth Advocate!

Southridge youth ministry is in the process of recovering a newly renovated youth ministry area after a Christmas Day flood damaged the previous areas.

During the past 8 months the students, with no place to call their own, baked goods for the elderly, delivered hygiene items to the homeless, and hand-wrote encouragement to folks in addiction recovery. They have camped together, worshiped together, supported each other, welcomed new faces, celebrated together, and went into the community to hear stories from local artists and artisans. They volunteered within Children’s ministry, with Sunday morning production, and with being a first and lasting impression on weekend attendees. They have volunteered over summer, weekends, and weekdays after school, practice, and jobs. Not to forget the personal development, spiritual development and faith-growth many of the students have experienced is the past 8 months! Southridge Youth has nearly doubled in size in the past year and this summer we were seeing an average of 30 students each week.

I would love to see this growing group be blessed by a fully sponsored youth area to call their own. It would be incredible if the upcoming expenses of events, programming, and community and ministry impact were not even remotely compromised by the expenses of completing these spaces!

I’d like for you to consider how you can help get the youth of Southridge Church into spaces curated just for teens, so that youth in our community can have a safe place to belong, be known, and believe!

Funding supports the following: lighting, seating, electrical work, rugs, aesthetic elements, tables, chairs, poster frames, bibles, office supplies, games, etc.

SRC Youth’s GRAND RE-OPENING is scheduled for OCTOBER 8th!
