About Southeast New England Chess Association

The Southeast New England Chess Association (SENECA) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization that promotes learning and playing the game of chess in the states of Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts for charitable and educational purposes. We organize and run numerous chess tournaments throughout the year at various venues for adults and youth. The majority of these events are held in Rhode Island and local Massachusetts. In addition to tournaments for individuals, we sponsor the Rhode Island Scholastic Chess League for local school teams to compete during the winter months.
