Texas Zoo

The Texas Zoo is a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue zoo located in beautiful Riverside Park in Victoria, Texas. The Zoo believes in creating a personal connection between our animal ambassadors and the public to encourage conservation and respect for their wild counterparts. Home to over 150 individual animals and nearly 100 species, the Texas Zoo is small but mighty when it comes to providing homes to animals in need, participation in saving endangered species through Species Survival Plans (SSP), and research that is aiding animals worldwide. With a highly educated and dedicated staff the animals that call the Texas Zoo home want for nothing and are provided with exquisite care, always.

As a nonprofit, The Texas Zoo relies on admission, educational programs, gift shop sales, and unique animal encounters to sustain the facility financially. COVID-19 hit at a devastating time as the zoo was coming out of the slow fall and winter seasons and entering spring, a time critical to the financial stability of the zoo due to school field trips, increased admission, and Wild About Wine, the zoo's largest fundraiser. Having to close our gates, cancel 92% of all spring field trips and postpone Wild About Wine has put the zoo in a precarious financial situation.
