For my birthday this year, my one desire is to raise money for a local shelter here in Hartford, CT. I have been out in the community feeding the homeless the past few Saturdays. There is a GREAT need. This shelter is doing really important work. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
South Park Inn serves men, women, children and veterans who are experiencing the challenges of homelessness. By offering shelter and personalized support to each individual, South Park Inn, in cooperation with other providers and resources, helps them overcome their individual challenges in order to achieve permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
People experience homelessness for many different reasons. As a low-barrier shelter, South Park Inn does not turn people away from shelter for any reason, addiction, lack of income, HIV status, mental illness, or criminal history. Everyone who stays with us is invited to bring their whole selves to the partnership with their Service Coordinator.
South Park Inn’s mission is to improve our community by providing equal access to shelter and solutions for all people to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. We endeavor to end homelessness; provide safe, healthy shelter and effective prevention services with dignity and respect to the people who need them; and promote housing as a human right for everyone.
