Did you know that South Florida has a large horse and cattle population? And that it’s ground zero for horse abuse in the U.S.?
South Florida SPCA Horse Rescue (SFSPCA) literally the last line of defense for abused and abandoned horses and livestock in Miami-Dade, Florida. We are the only thing standing between them and starvation, death and even slaughter. With an average of 50-plus horses in our care at any given time, we need you to join us in our fight against the horrific cruelty that runs rampant in this part of the country.
Save a horse’s life by donating today toward their most critical needs: nutritious feed and hay, and quality veterinary care and medical supplies. The cost for these two most basic requirements is approximately $200,000.00 per year. Vaccinations alone cost nearly $25,000.00 annually!

A $100 donation will feed one of the rescued horses for two weeks, $200 will feed one for a month! Or, $115 for summer shots with rabies vaccine, $80 for a veterinary physical exam, and $190 for annual dental care under anesthesia. Those are just examples of how your donations can really help the horses, but any contribution you can make will help our cause!

SOUTH FLORIDA SPCA HORSE RESCUE
SFSPCA is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that responds 24/7 to local law enforcement to investigate equine and livestock cruelty and abandonment cases, and to seize and care for those victims at its Homestead, Florida facility. SFSPCA also educates the community about responsible equine care and ownership, and fights for abused horses and livestock in court. Now in its 26th year, SFSPCA is the only organization qualified to rescue, rehabilitate, retrain and rehome horses in Miami-Dade. Since 2008, Miami-Dade Animal Services Department has provided a portion of the funding required to support SFSPCA's mission.
