Sabrina Cohen is fundraising

EMERGENCY RESPONSE: #Feeding305
In an effort to mitigate and help control the spread of COVID-19 among the elder population, disabled, veterans and families in need, South Florida Seniors in Action is coordinating food delivery relief efforts in collaboration with federal, state, and local government officials to ensure the safety and well-being of our most vulnerable residents in Miami-Dade County.
To accelerate local fundraising efforts to continue helping as many people as possible, the Sabrina Cohen Foundation is teaming up with South Florida Seniors in Action to support their food drop-off plans so EVERYONE in our community has access to nutritious meals, while staying at home. We need your SUPPORT. AND we HOPE you will join our #Feeding305 Online Campaign.
South Florida Seniors in Action is currently:
Feeding 1,500 people a WEEK
Organizing 3,000 bags of food a WEEK
Delivering 2 bags of food PER household 3 times a WEEK
Each week costs $5,000
OUR GOFUND ME GOAL is $20,000 to cover food delivery expenses for the next 4 WEEKS.
We are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and strictly following the direction of the CDC directives. Early data suggest older people are twice as likely to have serious COVID-19 infections leading to death and are more likely to have underlying health conditions that make it harder to cope with and recover from an illness such as COVID-19. In addition, people of all ages, with or without disabilities, seem to be at higher risk for getting very sick from COVID-19 if they have serious chronic medical conditions like heart, lung or kidney disease.
We invite you to join us in helping our community. Your financial contribution can assist us in carrying out this important mission during these challenging times.
Thank you for your support!

Chair and Board Member, City of Miami Beach Disability Access Committee
