Civilian casualties resulting from land mines and unexploded ordinance are among the most under-reported aspects of the war in Ukraine. Children are often the victims. We focus our efforts on the equipment necessary to treat catastrophic blood loss, which is often the consequence of a mine explosion. The presence and proper use of such equipment save lives. Consider that a severed artery may cause catastrophic blood loss in less than four minutes.

This fundraiser focuses on reducing fatalities from land mines by supplying the right equipment to first and immediate responders. The tourniquet is the most effective tool for stopping blood loss, and that is where we begin. We aim to acquire and ship at least 400 quality tourniquets to Ukraine.

This fundraiser is a result of our collaboration with SOS International, a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Your donations will go directly to SOS International and qualify for charitable contributions deductions.

The tourniquets will be purchased in the US and shipped directly to where they are needed most.

SOS is a medical recovery organization based in Louisville, Kentucky that collects surplus medical supplies and equipment from regional healthcare systems and redistributes them to communities in desperate need around the globe. SOS strategically goes into areas where items can be properly allocated to improve health access and address urgent needs. SOS continually strives to elevate health equity and disaster relief internationally– connecting our local healthcare organizations to communities in crisis across the globe. SOS has delivered more than $1.5 million in medical supplies to Ukraine to help restore access to medical care. But more help is needed.
