Clean Water for Mat House Village's Future
Help Bring Clean Water to Mat House Village, Liberia
Mat House Village in Grand Bassa District #1 is facing a crisis.
For generations, the residents of Mat House depended on the river for clean drinking water — a source of life, health, and stability. But that lifeline has been destroyed. Illicit mining activities have polluted and damaged the river beyond safe use, leaving families without access to clean water.
Today, the community is at risk. Children, elders, and families have no reliable, safe source of drinking water. The loss of clean water has led to illness, hardship, and increased vulnerability.
The SOPE Foundation is stepping in — but we need your help.
We are raising funds to build a rainwater harvesting and storage system in Mat House Village. This system will capture, filter, and store rainwater, giving residents a sustainable source of clean drinking water year-round.
Your donation will directly support:
- Installation of durable rainwater collection tanks
- Roof and gutter systems to harvest rainwater
- Water filtration units to ensure safe drinking water
- Training for residents on system maintenance
Every dollar you give will help restore hope, health, and dignity to Mat House Village.
Please donate today to help the people of Mat House reclaim their right to clean water.
Share this campaign to raise awareness and amplify the call for help.
Together, we can turn the rain into life.
Thank you for your compassion and support.
