Soltis’ Hope Street Animal Rescue

Right now, Soltis’ Hope Street Animal Rescue in rural Nepal has more than 70 medical cases in our clinic, and new animals continue to arrive needing help. For many of the animals we rescue, there is simply no one else to take them in. We cannot turn them away because we know what that could mean for them.

Thanks to the incredible kindness of a donor, we have recently been able to build several new fenced areas at our sanctuary. These spaces were desperately needed — but they are not yet ready for animals.

We need separate areas for dogs undergoing treatment for CTVT, a transmissible cancer, as well as strict isolation for suspected rabies cases. We have had so many suspected rabies cases that we have even had to rent a separate building. Newly rescued dogs also need somewhere safe to stay until they have been vaccinated, protecting the hundreds of other animals already in our care. One of the new areas will also provide much-needed space for our rescued calves, including those recovering from serious injuries and medical conditions.

Now we need your help to finish these areas.

Before animals can safely move into them, we need wooden kennels for shelter and warmth, small rounded drainage pebbles to prevent flooding and standing water during heavy rains, and heavy-duty tarpaulins along the open sides to protect the animals from driving rain, wind and winter cold.

This GoFundMe has been created specifically to purchase these items and make the new areas safe and usable. Our regular fundraising must continue separately to provide veterinary treatment, surgeries, medicines, food and daily care for the animals who depend on us.

These animals have already survived the streets. Now we need to give them somewhere safe to heal.
