It has been rough this past year, but as hard as you and I might have had it, there are people who have had it worse. As people protected themselves over the past 18 months, shelters and many services had to shut down. This meant that the needs of those experiencing homelessness, or those who are economically challenged, have grown, and people have struggled even more to cover basic needs for themselves and their families. And it hasn't just affected adults. Children who receive warmth and a meal each day at school may not have gotten those basic services covered because schools were closed. There are approximately 552,000 people who are homeless in America, and 20% of them are children!

We, along with many volunteers across the country, have hit the streets trying to help when we can.

Sock it To Em Sock Campaign may not be able to help provide for every need, but we understand that socks are the #1 requested clothing item because they wear out quickly, and protecting ones feet can mean life or death to someone who is homeless. Socks keep feet warm, dry, and protected from blisters. Foot ailments are the primary reason someone who is homeless goes to the emergency room.
