Help develop an all-inclusive, world-class education, training, and gathering center! Designed to offer meaningful activities and life-enriching opportunities, this center will be a gathering place for individuals living with dementia, other neurocognitive conditions, and their care partners.
For over 50 years, dementia expert Teepa Snow has called the Hillsborough community home. That is why she opened her 501(c)3 non-profit, Snow Approach Foundation, here. It'll build on Hillsborough’s prior progress toward becoming a dementia-friendly community. This new center will expand the concept to a fully inclusive community-based model.
Teepa has done much of the heavy lifting and already renovated a building to realize her goal. Help Teepa complete the process of creating a state-of-the-art information, services, and support center, so that all local residents may live fully in a neurodiverse community. The Snow Approach Foundation’s mission is to foster the development of a neurodiverse, inclusive community. It's a place where people living with various forms of dementia, other neurocognitive conditions, and their care partners can live to the best of their ability. This will not only benefit them, but the whole community. Through a combination of services for people living with brain changes and those who support them, community members will gain awareness, appreciation, knowledge, and skills. They'll learn to adapt to brain changes at any age while living well in a supportive and accepting place.
