Repair and Restore the Cobra Roof Statue at SMSH
The iconic Cobra statue, once proudly displayed on the roof of South Miami Senior High, has been a symbol of school pride and unity since the 1970s. For years, it watched over the campus, representing the strength and spirit of the Cobra community. Generations of students and alumni have looked to the Cobra as a source of inspiration during key moments in the school’s history.
However, due to years of weather exposure and deterioration, the statue had to be removed from its place atop the school. Now, the Cobra needs significant restoration to bring it back to its former glory, and plans are underway to replace it in its rightful position once restored.
The Rise of the Cobra campaign seeks to not only restore this beloved symbol but also return it to its iconic place, ensuring that it continues to inspire future generations of South Miami Senior High students and alumni. With the support of the community, we can revive this important piece of our history and school spirit.
For donors who give $5,000 or more, a special plaque to commemorate your gift will be on display, and your name will be enshrined on the Cobra for future generations. This is your chance to leave a lasting legacy and be forever recognized as a champion of Cobra pride!
