Boone Greenway Skatepark: Funding for Phases 2 & 3
The Boone North Carolina Skateboard Community has been in need of a park like this for a long time and we now have the opportunity to build it! The Town of Boone has graciously approved this project and donated the land as well as $25k. We are already approved and everything is in place so now we just need the funds to get the Boone Greenway Skatepark underway!
The goal is high but achievable especially with your help! Any donation adds up and sharing after is even better!
We have teamed up with Pillar Designs to create this Boone Greenway Skatepark overview. A concrete skatepark like this is what most towns are either building now or striving to build. This FREE skatepark will cater to all levels of skateboarders and become a destination skatepark in NC! This skatepark will not only provide what our skateboard community needs but will create more tourism and provide another amazing outdoor recreational activity for everyone here in Boone; locals and visitors. Having a facility like this provides a safe outlet for youth, promotes healthy and affordable recreation and will help boost our local economy.
The green lines on the design indicate a possible breakdown in phases we could build this park in. The goal is to not delay this project too much but shoot for construction by Spring 2020.
