SkiFast Foundation

My name is Tanner Perkins and I will be taking on my first 100 mile run through the mountains near Silverton with a goal to run for not just myself, but to help others along the way. I personally have an internal goal to dedicate my actions in life to the service and help of other people. I will be running 100 miles to raise money, spread awareness, and advocate for kids diagnosed with cancer. I have been extremely inspired by the Ski Fast Foundation and its founder Campbell Sullivan throughout their journey to help those impacted or effected by cancer in children. The Ski Fast Foundation has an incredible reputation and has very positively impacted the communities that we live in. Please join me in spreading awareness, raising money, and supporting this incredible cause. 

Why $31,560, and why for the Ski Fast Foundation?
Every year, 15,780 children are diagnosed with cancer, that is how I have created my goal of raising $31,560 for the Ski Fast Foundation. That is double the amount of kids that are diagnosed every year, and that seemed to me that it was a reasonable number to work for. The Ski Fast Foundation strives to support children diagnosed with cancer through bi-annual scholarships and also donating money into CIC-DUX4 Sarcoma research in Campbell's honor with hopes of one day finding a cure. 

This year, on February 22nd Campbell passed to her nearly four year battle with CIC-DUX4 Sarcoma. Campbell was down for her ability to keep an extremely positive attitude throughout her battle, always having a great smile with her, and a deep love for her friends and family.  She spread joy and hope to so many when she was also fighting. She leaves behind a foundation that will continue to support kids with cancer and support research into finding a cure. Growing up in the ski racing community and knowing Campbell has left a great impact on me, and I know I am one of so many who feel this way. I aim to use my reach in the skiing community on social media, and my own personal connections to drive this campaign towards success in the next two months leading up to my 100 mile run.
