Skaters for Moore Inc

After accomplishing the goal of raising funds and building the Elaine T. Baillie Skatepark in Southern Pines, opened 12.13.24, we have now been tasked with helping to raise funds for lights so that we may extend the hours of use, for this incredibly popular and well-used outdoor recreational facility. We are asking the community at large, once again to consider donating to Skaters for Moore for the express purpose of helping fund LED lighting, at an estimated cost of $30,000, so that the park may be used around the clock. This will help insure the safety of those choosing to use the park at night, will guard against vandalism and other potential.illegal activities, and will make the park more usable for all by extending the hours of use. We expect that if we can reach our goal of $10,000 towards that purpose, that the Town of Southern Pines would help to fund the rest.
