I listen to the news and I am scared. What's happening in Ukraine is really wrong. I toss and turn every night trying to think of ways to support the people of Ukraine. That is when I came up with the idea of a GoFundMe. My dad helped me find an organization called ShelterBox USA. They spend 82.5% directly on their program expenses! They have a 4 star Give With Confidence Rating from CharityNavigator. When this comes up I think about the injured, sick, young, elderly and pregnant that have nothing and nowhere to go. You can choose to be part of their future. Thank you for hearing my voice.

ShelterBox in Ukraine

Hi my name is Sophia Kabani and I am 9 years old.  

Imagine that your country is at war against Russia. Your father is required to fight in the war. This would not be fun. But guess what? It’s already happening! Russia and Ukraine are at war against each other! Russia is bombing Ukraine, leaving many families homeless. Putin is a very cruel dictator and the leader of Russia. Many Russians protested, and several thousand were arrested. This cruel dictator wants all the power he can get. Many refugees from Ukraine are going very many places to stay safe. They have very little money, and some have none at all. It’s up to us to do all we can to help them. With each donation, I will make a 6x6 painting inspired by Ukraine.
