Help mom and dad return home for my mom's mother's funeral
Hello, my name is Jay Ayers, and I am reaching out to our family, friends and beyond with a heavy heart.
We recreceived the heartbreaking news yesterday May 7th 2025 that she peacefully passed away. It’s a profound loss, and my family feels the weight of her absence deeply.
My beloved grandmother was a truly extraordinary woman—93 years of faith, kindness, and unwavering love. She was a pillar of our family, a prayer warrior, and a source of wisdom and comfort to everyone she met. Her life was a testament to grace and resilience, and she leaves behind a legacy that will forever inspire us.
My mother and father serving as missionaries in Ivory Coast, West Africa, wish to travel to be with family, to support each other, and to honor her memory. It’s very important for them to be physically present as we celebrate the life of my grandmother and say our final goodbyes. However, the cost of airfare from West Africa is a significant hurdle for us, and we are seeking help to make this journey possible.
This fundraiser aims to cover their travel expenses from the Ivory Coast to North Carolina and to return back to the Ivory Coast.
My mom wants to be there for her mothers funeral also so they both can be with loved ones during this difficult time. Your generosity will bring comfort to our family, support healing, and allow us to cherish the memories of an incredible woman who touched our lives deeply.
Please consider donating or sharing this page with your network. Every contribution makes a difference, and your kindness will forever be appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, love, and support.
With gratitude,
Grandson of Barbara McMillian
