Hello everyone!

In the spirit of my upcoming birthday, I am raising funds to continue development of a women’s health clinic deep in the mountains of Northern Pakistan. The rural village of Nagar has limited access to health facilities and educational resources. Because of this, young girls miss school due to lack of awareness around menstruation, mothers commonly have complications (or even die) during childbirth, and there are still many prevailing toxic taboos around reproductive health. 

Despite the disadvantages that these young girls and women experience, I am happy to say that there is hope for the improvement of health and overall wellbeing of these members of the community. In February of 2021, the village welcomed its first wellness clinic, Nagar Women's Health House , which is featuring the region’s first ultrasound machine, a highly qualified medical staff, hygiene training seminars, and a full stock of medicine to treat anything from UTI infections to anemia. All are welcome.

This fundraiser aims to raise enough funds to construct a lab for bloodwork, and a waiting room so that the families of our patients can be sheltered amidst extreme heat, rainstorms, and snow. Currently there is only a rugged dirt road where many of the children wait, and we want to create a more professional and safe environment for visitors to experience health services. 

Nagar Women’s Health House is a grassroots initiative that I have been involved in with family and friends for the past year, which manifested from our collective dream, to a fully operating clinic that is impacting the lives of our daily visitors. Because of our contribution from strangers from all corners of the planet, we have been able to make a difference in this small village that would have otherwise never been known to the rest of the world. 

I believe every human deserves to feel empowered through wellbeing. I personally have received profound benefits of healthcare because it has been affordable and accessible, for me.  I am so fortunate to feel materially satiated and fulfilled in my life, so all I ask for my birthday this year is support for Nagar Women’s Health House. 

I am humbled and honored to help uplift a community, and collaborate with all of you on making this happen. My hope is that Nagar Women’s Health House can live and grow to uplift the community beyond even my lifetime. Thank you ALL for the help in making this dream come true this past year!
