Shalom Task Force

Being at home with our loved ones helps make these uncertain times a little bit less scary and more bearable.  But for some people, being stuck at home with their families is the most frightening part of all.  Over 10 million Americans face abuse in their homes each year.  The situation is made worse by the stresses caused by the coronavirus pandemic.  But "sheltering at home" with an abuser can be as or more frightening than the coronavirus.

Because of this, now, more than ever, the work that the Shalom Task Force does to work with abused women (and men) is so important and necessary.  That is why I am asking you to make a donation to the Shalom Task Force today.  We look forward to soon seeing the day when we can all spend time with our friends and extended families.

More information about Shalom Task Force, Inc. (Stf): The purposes of Shalom Task Force, Inc. are to deal with matters of domestic abuse and promote peaceful family relations and more specifically: a) to provide services for families who suffer from domestic abuse; b) to provide other services as may be necessary, including without limitation, counseling, financial assistance, support services and referral services; c) to provide educational programs about the problems of domestic abuse; d) to act as a coordinating body to foster joint and cooperative action and programs on this issue among other organizations; e) to act as an information and referral resource; and f) to do any other act or thing incidental or connected with the foregoing purposes or in advancement thereof.
