Hi, I’m Shades community Cats Sanctuary and for 14 years i have cared for and maintained the sanctuary and all their needs. However i am now reaching out to you to support Shades Community Cats Sanctuary as we are struggling to keep afloat with all of our expenses increasing and not alot of breathing room. My organization is dedicated to helping our community's forgotten and abandoned feline friends. We provide safe havens for cats in need, ensuring they receive medical care, food, and the love and any supplies they deserve to ensure they live happy and healthy lives.

Recently we had a cat come back to us after being returned. She was not taken care of and her medical needs were put on the back burner, when we got asked to take her back i immediately said yes because we will always take our cats back. However she is now at the er getting bloodwork done to make sure she doesnt have a blood disorder or that her liver isnt failing. This was not something I could have expected but after she has endured so much neglect we owe it to her to make sure shes ok.

We are a community cat specific rescue that focuses on providing a safe landing place for community cats that are in direct harms way. Either by euthanization, or human caused harm by losing their home or being threatened as well as education about TNR and maintaining proper upkeep of community cat colonies. Shades community cats is a sanctuary, not a typical rescue that adopts out pets- this means a very long-term commitment Also, this type of rescue disqualifies us from grants and cooperate funding.
