Walk A Mile In My Shoes Fundraiser
Help me raise $15,000 by April 8, 2018 to support 7hills Homeless Center in their mission to end homelessness and poverty through education, opportunities, and hope. Over the years NWA has seen an increase in the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness, and 7hills has been there to help. Whether it's providing a meal, hot shower, or bus pass or providing rent assistance and transitional housing, 7hills is able to serve the most vulnerable in our community.
Every month, 7hills serves 517 individuals at its Day Center. Anything you do in your home, their clients can do at the Day Center, including taking a shower, doing laundry, eating a hot meal, shopping for groceries, accessing a computer and telephone, and having a physical address to receive mail. Individuals also have access to on-site case managers, who conduct over 190 sessions every month. Your donation helps 7hills to continue to provide these high-quality services to those in need.
The Walker Family Residential Community houses 16 individuals and 3 families in transitional housing, and 8 individuals in permanent housing. Your donation helps 7hills maintain and furnish the units and property, truly making it feel like home for the residents. Your donation also helps support over 1,200 case management sessions every year.
Through the 7hills Veteran Services program, they are able to provide rent and utilities assistance, as well as intensive case management, to homeless and near-homeless Veterans in NWA. Your donation helps to provide that wrap-around case management, as well as other unfunded assistance such as apartment furnishings, health and dental assistance, and more.

This is a 3rd party event and fundraiser coordinated by Quinn Childress to raise awareness about homelessness in NWA and simultaneously raise funds for 7hills, a local service provider.
