Tribute WTC Visitor Center is a project of the September 11th Families’ Association, founded by New York City Fire Department families in November 2001 to provide information to all 9/11 families. The Tribute WTC Visitor Center is a museum dedicated to sharing the stories of the 9/11 community—survivors, family members who lost loved ones, first responders, civilian volunteers, neighborhood residents—and providing a destination for over 500,000 visitors annually. Through “Person-to-Person” history the Tribute Center and volunteer walking tour program connect visitors with people who directly experienced 9/11. Visitors are transformed by their Tribute Center experience and leave with a personal perspective of the impact of terrorism.
