Military funeral honors are the final recognition of the sacrifice and contributions of our Nation's veterans, as well as a heartfelt demonstration of gratitude to those who served our country.

We are fortunate to have an exclusive United States Marine Corps Funeral Detail here in Houston. Semper Fi $#3 Memorial Honor Detail came to fruition with a singular purpose of providing complete funeral honors to U.S. Marines, Fleet Marine Force, Navy Corpsmen and other honorable veterans of all six military departments interred at the Houston National Cemetery or in the Houston-Harris County Texas area. This exclusive, all-volunteer group of retired Marines, Marine veterans and FMF Corpsmen generously give their time to show respect and honor to veterans and their families.

Yet, Semper Fi #3 Memorial Honor Detail currently faces a crisis. The Troop Transporter, which carries the funeral detail and the detail's equipment between the headquarters and the cemetery, is out of service and needs immediate repair. Unfortunately, this expenditure was not in the budget, and no funds are available to make the $8.000 in repairs.
