You know that funny sport where people yell at each other while sweeping rocks? Yeah... curling! You know you love it. Well... Chicago curling needs your help.
Our vision: To offer exceptional curling and social opportunities in a high-quality facility.
Our goal: To raise $1 million to fund capital improvements and a capital reserve for the next generation of curlers in Chicagoland.
The Story
The current ice cooling system was installed in 1968. That's old! To make matters worse, the Freon for the system is being phased out and will no longer be available after this curling season. That's a bummer! On top of all that, our current system is undersized, weighing in at 40 tons. We need 60-80 tons. That's inefficient!
Who Does this Impact
~300 Members of the Chicago Curling Club who curl and drink 7 days a week at our facility.
~Over 1000 curlers from around the world who take part in our international curling competitions.
~The kids! We run a growing junior curling program. Donate for the kids!

Second City Curling is a 501(c)3 nonprofit established in 2015 to grow the sport of curling, primarily through youth engagement. Located in Northbrook, Illinois, it is home to one of the finest curling facilities of its size. Second City Curling is home to the Chicago Curling Club and its 300+ members. For six months of the year, multiple leagues and bonspiels are run. In 2010, our facility hosted the United States Curling Association Mixed Nationals and, in 2019, hosted the United States Women’s Curling Association National Bonspiel. Our facility hosts the American Curling History Museum. We are poised to continue growing the curling community — but our facility is aging and in need of significant upgrades.
