About Scholars for Syria Inc
Scholars for Syria is an initiative founded by students and faculty at the University of Evansville, now operating on the campus of Seton Hall University in New Jersey. We began in January 2016 with a series of lecture/panel seminars informing the community about Syria: its history, politics, civil uprising, religion, and refugee crisis. Our mission is to educate the community on how to understand the current conflict, resist sweeping generalizations, help alleviate the suffering of refugees, and better support our Syrian students and their families both here and abroad.
