Hello, my name is Valerie, and me and four other girls are all students of College of Lake County. In our Ethics class, we were challenged to make a change in our community. Hearing this, we immediately started looking into what shelters we could help support nearby.
In July of 2024 in Lake County, the number of dogs taken into shelters has doubled in size, and is more than many shelters can handle. Overcrowding in shelters leads to limited supplies to help support animals and not being able to give their basic needs. Because of this, we want to help raise awareness to Save-A-Pet shelter located in Grayslake, and collect donations for supplies that are urgently needed to maintain these animals.
We hope to even find a family for these wonderful animals and allow them to start their new life. With your donation, we can help Save-A-Pet collect these items to better animals' well-being:
