Run for Petro: Support Mental Health Research
In June 2023, my family grieved the loss of my cousin, Petro Kindy Olesen. In his early twenties, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and after battling it with antipsychotics among other treatments for years, their depressive side effects became too much to bear, and he'd lost his will to live. Petro took his own life.
In honor of Petro, me and my team are hosting a running relay-style fundraising event, where I will personally be running a marathon around the Palmer Field track. Everyone is welcome to come and run for however long to show their support. Please, support me on this journey and help fund crucial research to better the lives of the millions affected by schizophrenia around the globe.
