Sarah’s Warriors, The Officer Sarah Simons Foundation

Sarah's Warriors, is an official 501c3 public charity founded by then 8 year old Sarah, and her 11 year old sister Payson during Sarah's first battle with cancer. Inspired by the love people showed her, Sarah chose to pay this forward to other pediatric cancer fighters. The girls create custom tailored Operation Sparkle Battle Boxes (care packages), and send them worldwide to brave children who desperately need a little hope.

As our non profit has grown, so has our mission. While Battle Boxes will always be a main portion of what we do, advocacy has also become a huge area of expansion to our cause. Pediatric cancer is chronically underfunded and under researched, and working to find a cure is forefront to Sarah and our family. The girls have traveled to Washington DC to advocate with our politicians on Capitol Hill. They has personally met Congressmen McCaul, founder of the Childhood Cancer Caucus, our local congressmen Michael Cloud, Sarah's Warriors has sat in on the Childhood Cancer Summit, and supported all pediatric cancer families attending Curefest, a Nationwide childhood cancer rally held in Washington DC, by hosting a booth and networking with families and other non profits who are also fighting for a cure.

Sarah's Virtual Lemonade Stand is our 1 big fundraiser event for the year. The online fundraiser for a virtual lemonade stand is two fold. The first is Sarah's health. While she strives to build and ship care packages and travel for advocacy, she currently is undergoing active treatment for a second cancer, a sarcoma on her eye. Her health is priority, and being out in public fundraising is often impossible for her. The second part is, this allows our supporters worldwide to be able to participate without being local.

Sarah and Payson set the goal for this year higher, and we can achieve it with your help. 100% of your donation goes directly back to Sarah's Warriors, we never keep a dime. This will provide the overhead for the year to continue sending care packages (we have shipped over 400 since our founding!), to continue advocating, and working with politicians for MORE THAN 4!

Like most things in life, we’ve had to change up plans last minute and roll with something a little different. The girls had big plans of holding several in person lemonade stands at area businesses this summer to help build back the funds needed for them to run Sarah’s Warriors, The Officer Sarah Simons Foundation. A 501c3 Public Charity created by the. 7 year old Sarah and her big sister Payson. However, as many know we got some very difficult news at her appointment last week, and our plans for the summer need to change.

As we are processing what this means for Sarah, we realize how the future is so uncertain but also incredibly hard for her. She has a very tough fight ahead. This also means, that she is just not able to sit in this south Texas heat outside doing a lemonade stand. It would be far too much strain on her exhausted little body.
