With a vision of lives enriched by music, and values that embrace commitment, creativity, equity, collaboration and service, San Diego Youth Symphony (SDYS) instills excellence in musical achievement and personal growth through rigorous and inspiring music education experiences. For nearly eight decades SDYS has been a catalyst for investing in the future of thousands of young people through the study and performance of music. Through its flagship youth orchestra program in Balboa Park (San Diego Youth Symphony), neighborhood engagement programs across San Diego County (The Opus Project), and early childhood music curriculum (ChIMES and Music Discovery), SDYS is San Diego’s most comprehensive provider of cradle-to-college music education programming.
