San Antonio Food Bank

My mother, Brenda Kelly, a resident of San Antonio, lost her life, on November 23, 2020, to COVID;  16 days after testing positive.  Several moths ago, my mother was watching her local news and saw a story of people waiting hours and hours in line, at the San Antonio food bank, to receive food for their families.  This was extremely upsetting to her.   So, she decided to start her own campaign.  She typed up flyers, and she and her dog Lincoln, walked her neighborhood, distributing the flyers to the homes in her neighborhood.  She would then collect the donated food weekly, and make the trip to the food bank to donate it in person.  She was extremely passionate about this, even if, it was only a small amount of food.  She knew, any amount of food, would indeed, help those in need.  

Many people have reached out, asking what they can do to help.  Stephen, Erin and I, have decided that the best way to honor her legacy, during this pandemic, would be to continue her passion to support the San Antonio food bank.  So I am creating this fundraiser to directly benefit the San Antonio food bank, and the people who so desperately need food.  Any amount will help.  I am also asking that anyone reading this, please, please, please, share this campaign, so that others might want to join this cause.

A dear friend once told me, 'never run from fun' and when I looked at this challenge I thought, 'this could be fun!' 

Starting Friday March 5th at 10pm I will be running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.

All of the proceeds will be going to the Food Bank to continue to help those affected by the arctic blast.
