Building Fund for New Classrooms
My name is Marie Viglas and I love India. After several trips to India, I decided to take an active role in helping needy students.
I found a wonderful grassroots, non-profit organization to partner up with-The Sakthi Foundation- and I have been taking on worthy educational projects through them. Sakthi Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit USA organization.
I have been visiting the Andovar School in Porayar, Tamil Nadu, India yearly-one of Sakthi Foundation supported schools. The students won over my hearts. The current school currently goes up to 8th grade and is in poor but improving condition.
We have good, honest, teachers, administrators and personnel in place. 100% of your donation goes to the students and this project. Our adminstrators including myself are volunteers.
Our current project is to add a science lab. We have hired a wonderful science teacher and with the aid of a lab the students really will take off. The cost of the lab is $5000. We will convert an existing classroom with cabinets, science tables and benches, sink, equipment and supplies for biology and chemistry classes.
I am traveling to the school on May 30 and would like to present the students, faculty and staff with the gift of a science lab. Will you help us to achieve this goal?
