About Sail250 New York Inc.

Our mission is to plan for and raise funds required to produce the main event for America's 250th Anniversary celebrations to be held in New York Harbor on July 4th, 2026. This event is in keeping with America's Bicentennial celebrations hosted in New York Harbor July 4th, 1976, and as before is expected to educate, energize, and foster goodwill among Americans and the international community at large. The core activities of the event will consist of organizing a parade of International Tall Ships and naval vessels which will be accompanied by a multi-day public Tall Ship visitation and festive public events program throughout New York City. As a major element of our efforts, we will focus on educational aspects of US history, our maritime history and equity as we go into the future.
