Hello Friends and Family!
I am so excited to officially tell you I am a summer intern for Sacred Road this year! It has been a long journey since last summer, and the anticipation to be out with my family is so great! I will be on the White Swan reservation (and possibly the Warm Springs) from May-August. This year will look much different than previous years with the lingering presence of Covid, but God has already done so much in the community here and I can’t wait to see what He does this summer! Over the past year, many of the youth on the Reservation have grown in leadership roles and blossomed in their relationships with Christ. While writing this to you, I am currently in White Swan over my spring break to visit and get excited alongside the staff for the summer. With all of this being said, this year will require $6,500 in funds on my part. We will have much fewer interns which means less funds to pay the staff from the reservation. I need your help now more than ever! As many of you already know, this organization has a very special place in my heart. My “dream job” after graduation is full time missions with Sacred Road. This summer marks a special place in my journey to be here, and your donation, an investment into my future with Sacred Road. I pray you and yours are staying healthy in this crazy season and can’t wait to partner with you to give the community Jesus! If you have any questions, visit sacredroad.com or their social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube). Also, I would love to talk to you more about the organization and what it means to me to be on the reservation this summer!
Blessings,
Madi Greer

More information about Sacred Road Ministries: In 1855, the Yakama people, along with 13 other tribes and bands, signed a treaty with the United States government which established the Yakama Reservation at the foot of Mt. Adams in south central Washington State. Since that time, the culture, families, and dreams of the Yakama people have steadily disintegrated. Sacred Road was established to minister to the spiritual, physical, and economic needs of those living in the town of White Swan, WA on the Yakama Indian Reservation.
