A cause I care about needs help
For my birthday this weekend, I'm raising funds to develop Sacred Innocence's self-guided, 14-step sexual abuse recovery program (Heal) into an online, interactive program that will guide hundreds of thousands of victims through the recovery process. The interactive program will be the first of its kind, and will allow hundreds of thousands of survivors to access research-based healing resources, track personal progress, hear from world-renowned experts within the field of sexual abuse recovery, and have personal access to the 300-page, 14-session healing curriculum.
I've been involved with this charity for the last year and really believe in its purpose and importance. I've donated $15,000 of my personal funds ($12,500 via this campaign) and am willing to match donations until we reach our $25,000 goal. Sexual and physical abuse leaves hundreds of thousands of victims in its wake, and this program helps those victims recover and move forward with their lives. I want to make a difference in the small way that I can and I know getting this program online will. So, please be generous in the ways and within the means that you can. Aside from taking care of loved ones, you won't make a better use of your funds.
