Ronald McDonald House Charities

As a McDonald's aligned Arla Farmer group, we’re taking on a challenge to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), an incredible organisation that provides free accommodation and vital support for families with seriously ill children while they receive hospital treatment.

The aim is for each farmer to raise £130, which is the equivalent of two nights’ stay for a family staying close to their child when they need it most. Every pound raised helps keep families together during some of the hardest times they will face.

A huge thank you to anyone taking part, your generosity. Together, we will make a real difference to RMHC families when it matters most.

Taking the leap for RMHC – and we need your support! ❤️

Our very own, Lucy N, is getting ready to do a charity skydive in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) — all to help families stay close when their children need hospital care most.

This is a huge challenge, and every donation, big or small, will make a real difference to families going through incredibly tough times. Lucy is already booked on to her flight which will be at Langar Airfield either 4th or 5th July 2026 (date to be confirmed)

She has already got an incredible amount of £290 raised, and has given herself a target of £400

On Sunday 26th April a team of women will be taking on the climb up Snowdon to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities. The challenge will support families with critically ill children by helping provide free accommodation and essential support close to hospitals. This hike will turn determination and teamwork into real help for families when they need it most.

Our colleague James from Sidcup McDonald’s will be taking on a 10K run on 15th February 2026 at Trafalgar Square, all to raise money for a charity that is incredibly close to our hearts — Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Ronald McDonald House Charities provide vital accommodation and support for families with children in hospital. Their Houses are located just moments away from children’s wards, allowing families to stay close to their loved ones during some of the most challenging times of their lives. This support helps ease the emotional and financial strain when families need it most.

As a McDonald’s team, this charity means so much to us. We see first-hand the difference it makes to families, and we’re incredibly proud of James for taking on this challenge to support such an important cause.

My names Dan and I’m running the Weymouth half marathon to raise money for Ronald McDonald charity houses.

When my son Hudson was born he was extremely unwell and had to undergo life saving surgery. The ordeal lasted 2 months and we relied heavily on the services of the Ronald McDonald charity house in Lambeth.

I want to give something back to this amazing charity so any donations would be gratefully received, thank you .

Five friends, one Hyrox, and a very good cause!

This October, Callum, Jon, Tania, Lindsey, and I are flying to Valencia to compete in our first-ever Hyrox. We're all in our 40s (or close enough!), so naturally, we thought: why not throw ourselves into a high-intensity fitness race in another country?

We’re excited, nervous, slightly creaky—but we're doing it not just to challenge ourselves, but to raise money for Ronald McDonald House.

This amazing charity gives families with seriously ill children a place to stay near hospital—offering a warm bed, a break from the beeping machines, and a moment to breathe. It’s something no one thinks about until they really need it, and for some of our friends, it's been a lifeline.

We’re training hard (and stretching a lot), and every donation, no matter how small, will help us turn this midlife madness into something meaningful.

Last August, our 8-month-old baby boy, Roman, was rushed to Southampton General Hospital with a collapsed lung due to an undetected cyst. He underwent emergency care, a chest drain, and a life-saving operation. During this terrifying time, Michelle and I were given a place to stay at the Ronald McDonald House—completely free of charge.

Thanks to the incredible hospital staff and the support we received, Roman is now back to his best—happy, healthy, and thriving!

Now, we want to give back. Ronald McDonald House Charities made an enormous difference to our family, providing a home near our son when we needed it most. Join us in raising money so more families can stay close to their critically ill children without the burden of financial worry.
