About Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America
The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America (R.O.E.A.), Founded in April 1929, is a non-profit, religious organization chartered in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan. It is a Diocese under the jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church in America. The ROEA is headed by a hierarch (presently, Archbishop Nathaniel Popp) elected for life. The ROEA is a founding member of the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches of Christ. The ROEA comprises 75 parishes across the U.S. and Canada and approximately 70,000 faithful.
