Build.Feed.Love.Nicaragua.
In partnership with La Iglesia Verbo, in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua, Rolling Hills Community Church is preparing to send its third team of the year on November 28th, 2014 down to work alongside Verbo Church members and leaders.
While our team is prepared to submit ourselves to whatever God asks us to do while in Nicaragua, we have two main objectives. The first is to aid in the construction and rehabilitation of the Verbo School where children from the community and on-site orphanage (seen below) attend. This structure is in desperate need of a "make-over" as its role in education is crucial.
The team will also be serving at the local feeding center where hundreds of children are fed their only meal each day. These children (seen below) will often eat only a small portion of their meal in order to take the leftovers home to their families who also don't get enough to eat.
Our team is raising money, not for our personal expenses, but for the projects at hand. We would like to raise $6,000 for the construction of two classrooms at the Escuela Christiana Verbo and another $2,000 to travel to the feeding center and surrounding areas to provide food and any other ministry needs that are present. We would also like to treat the nearly 200 children living in the on-site orphanage to a pizza party and/or trip to the beach to enrich their somewhat repetitive lives.
All donations are tax deductible and will go to Nicaragua to support the ministry. Each dollar counts, so please join us in partnering with those in Nicaragua to love on people like Jesus would.
