Rockford Area Breakfast Club

Two years ago in August we officially launched the 501c-3 non-profit Rockford Area Breakfast Club idea to the community with an overwhelming turnout.

Since then, the positive feedback and support has been amazing – God is at work! At the kick-off we announced the donation of the land across the road from Rockford High School by RHS alumni Steve Berhow & his wife Saysong, but that is just the beginning. Our steering committee has been meeting since the inception of the dream and last Fall we took the next step and broke ground! With the donated efforts of Gearin Outdoor Services the lot was scrubbed, followed by Doboszenski & Sons who donated their equipment and labor to excavate and prep the site according to the plans. Now we are preparing for the next phase - construction! We have a team in place ready to go. We just need to raise a little more (in-kind donations of goods and services, cash or pledges), enough so the bank will approve our construction loan. We are prayerful and hopeful to start construction yet this year! The more money we raise, the lower the needed financing, thus the more savings we reap, allowing this project to keep rolling forward. Or the more donated or discounted goods and services, the lower the amount of $$ we need…so everything helps!

Many have been at work behind the scenes orchestrating lots of details to approve the ground-breaking, including ongoing meetings between key community and business members for donations and finances, to construction and building needs, etc. The total cost of the building project is $4.2 million. Year-to-Date we have raised $3.6 million, including pledges (up to 5 years), cash and in-kind donations. Now you, too can help us reach our goal and take part in establishing this amazing venue for the kids…we have approximately $400,000 left to reach our construction goal…help plant the seed in the hearts of kids and bring the kingdom message to area youth. Any excess would be used for ongoing operating costs. Consider becoming a recurring or sustaining donor!
