Help RoboGenesis #26235 Reach the Premier Tournament!
After an incredible season, FIRST Tech Challenge Team RoboGenesis #26235 has earned an invitation to compete at the Western Edge Premier Event, an international tournament featuring 91 top teams from around the world.
Now, we need your help to get there.
A Season of Hard Work and Achievement
RoboGenesis is a team of 8 passionate students from Escondido, California (grades 7–12), including 50% girls and 25% military-impacted families.
This season, their dedication and innovation led to major accomplishments:
- 3rd Place Inspire Award – San Diego Gauss League Finals
- 1st Place Connect Award – San Diego Regional Championship
These awards recognize not just robot performance, but excellence in engineering, outreach, and teamwork—and earned the team a spot on the international stage.
More Than Just Robots
For the past 8 years, RoboGenesis has been more than a robotics team, it’s been a community driven STEM program.
Our students:
Design, build, and program robots from scratch each season
Learn real-world engineering using CAD, 3D printing, and fabrication tools
Develop skills in programming, physics, electronics, and problem-solving
But just as importantly, they give back.
Impacting Our Community
RoboGenesis is committed to making STEM accessible to everyone:
- Supporting robotics programs in 8 schools in the Escondido Union School District
- Partnering with Society of Women Engineers SWENext to empower young women in STEM
- Hosting dozens of outreach events, reaching thousands of students and families each year
- Mentoring younger FIRST LEGO League teams
Last season alone, the team participated in 28 outreach events impacting over 4,800 people.
Why We Need Your Help
Attending the Western Edge Premier Event comes with significant costs, and while we’ve received some corporate sponsorships, we still need to raise $11,000
These funds will cover:
- Travel and lodging
- Event registration fees
- Robot upgrades and materials
- Team transportation and logistics
Every dollar directly supports students and their opportunity to compete, learn, and grow.
