New Timpani Fund
River City Brass needs new timpani!
Three of the 28 musicians that make up the River City Brass Band are percussionists. These are the musicians that give the music its rhythm, power and depth. RCB's percussionists are professional musicians of the highest order –they are at the top of their field.
It's sad to say, but for the last couple of seasons, they've been playing on substandard equipment.
Our percussionists had been playing on the same Timpani (the big kettledrums, usually at the back right side of the stage) for over ten years, and a look at our performance schedule will give you an idea of how many concerts that represents. The Timpani we'd been using could no longer be tuned properly and some of the wheels had fallen off, making them difficult to transport.
The good news: We bought new Timpani!
The bad news: We bought it on credit!
It is very difficult for us to absorb such a large expense ($11,495.33) in our yearly budget. We need to either cut expenses elsewhere or raise more money. That is why we're humbly asking our friends, family, and supporters like you for contributions.
Every little bit helps! Whether you donate $10, $100, $500, or $1,000, please know that your contribution is appreciated.
All donations are tax deductible.
