Riding with HEART

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Riding with HEART, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

My children have benefitted from the amazing services that Riding With Heart provide.  The only issue we ever faced was that imposed by the weather.  This fundraiser is to help Riding With Heart raise the funds to build an indoor arena so that services can be provided all year round - irrespective of the weather.

I am looking for 100 people to volunteer to run a Spartan race with me.  Each of these people will then reach out to friends and family to raise $100 each as their part of racing for a good cause.  The race will be a Spartan Super (8-10 miles plus obstacles) or a Spartan Sprint (3-5 miles plus obstacles).  Venue : Palmerton, PA on Saturday July 13th (Super @ 9am) or Sunday July 14th (Sprint at 1pm).  Race fees are to be covered by the participant but I am willing to help find the best deals out there for anyone wanting to participate.  You can contact me via this page.  During registration with Spartan you need to pick the times (or as close as possible) to that listed above, t-shirts run small so go up a size and join the existing team Spartan 4-0.

More information about Riding with HEART: Riding with Heart provides equine assisted activities and therapies to children, at-risk youth and adults that are differently abled. Our dedicated staff consists of Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors, Equine Specialists in Mental Health & Learning, an Occupational Therapist- Hippotherapy Specialist and committed volunteers along with 11 therapy horses. We are a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization.

Riding with HEART is an equine assisted therapeutic riding center in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.  Riding with HEART - Hunterdon Equine Assisted Recreation and Therapy is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, and a PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) Premier Accredited Center that provides a safe, progressive, therapeutic environment to persons that may be physically, emotionally or developmentally challenged.

Our program currently runs from April to November.  Even during our open season, inclement weather causes lessons to be cancelled.  However, some lessons also have to be cancelled due to riders' sensitivities or medical restrictions including, but not limited to, heat restrictions and medications that cause light sensitivity.  These cancellations can be very disruptive to our riders emotionally, (who look forward to spending time with "their horses" all week) but are also a detriment to our riders who receive  Occupational Therapy in our Hippotherapy Program and require consistent lessons.   As our program continues to grow to include veterans, first responders, and their families, we will need an indoor space to insure the consistency and comfort for all of our riders and horses.

With the help of a generous donor (who has already committed $125,000), we have started the road to  building awareness about this project, but we NEED YOUR HELP!  No amount is too small to donate.
