RideAbility Therapeutic Riding Center

My name is Caleb Brewer and I am currently working on completing my Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts. In order to do this, I have to complete a project that helps our community or an organization. For my project, I will be constructing a ride in shelter for RideAbility Therapeutic Riding Center. I am raising money to purchase the materials and supplies needed in order to complete my project. Because RideAbility is a non-for profit, donations can receive a tax reciept. Donations of any size will be a huge help!

RideAbility's mission is to offer a wide range of horse–related programs to children and adults with special needs as well as veterans. Through equine assisted services and learning along with adaptive riding, RideAbility promotes the physical, psychological, emotional, social and spiritual well being of its participants,

I chose this organization because my sister volunteers at RideAbility and has seen first hand the amazing impact the program has on its students and their families!

There were many additional expenses that we were not aware of. We need to be 100% compliant with all the specifications of York County. Being commercial, there are a lot of additional expenses we were unaware of.

To serve our fantastic community, we needed a home of our own. We needed to expand our program and mission for York County and the surrounding areas. Very few programs serve our outstanding special needs community, and we want to ensure they have a place to call their own and SHINE. We needed to be able to GROW our AMAZING Equestrian Special Olympics and Veterans Program too. This meant a home of our own with more therapeutic horses, pastures, and a barn.
