Rick Seltzer Community Park

Rick Seltzer Community Park has been a cherished cornerstone of Bay Point and its surrounding areas since its establishment in 1998. From its inception, this vibrant park has been sustained solely through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

Following the challenges brought by the hurricane in 2018, our beloved park faced adversity. We rallied together to restore swings for our little ones to enjoy and rejuvenated the grounds with fresh sod, irrigation repairs, and new white sand in the play box, new basketball goals, among other essential improvements. Despite these efforts, sustaining the park's operation has become increasingly challenging.

While we are immensely grateful for the incredible support from groups like the Witches Ride and individual donors, as well as numerous others, the funds allocated have been depleted in our ongoing mission to revitalize the park. Today, Rick Seltzer Community Park stands as a testament to our collective commitment, offering a welcoming and beautiful space for our community to enjoy. However, our journey is far from over.

The Seltzer family humbly appeals to everyone to join us in raising the necessary funds to cover the park's operating costs throughout the remainder of 2024. Even if we fall short of our target, we assure you that the gates of our park will remain open, welcoming all who seek its solace and joy.

While we eagerly anticipate organizing larger fundraisers in the future to further enhance our park, our immediate priority lies in meeting the day-to-day expenses required for its operation. Together, let us weather this temporary challenge and ensure that Rick Seltzer Community Park continues to thrive as a beacon of community spirit and togetherness.
