The RHM Mercy House for Women
PRESENTING THE RESTORING HEARTS MERCY HOUSE FOR WOMEN
Many of you know a women’s ministry house has been on our hearts for years! A long-term Christian recovery and residential program, where women who are struggling in homelessness, addiction and sex trafficking can have a chance to rebuild their lives in Christ.
We have been serving the homeless community of Trenton and Mercer County for nearly 13 years. During this time, we’ve walked alongside many women, but sadly we are unable to minister or support many of them on a deeper level -spiritually, emotionally and physically - because a long-term safe and stable place for ongoing care is not available…UNTIL NOW.
An amazing opportunity has presented itself to us to buy a home right near our ministry headquarters and we are prayerfully reaching out to see this through for these women we love so much.
We have been offered a seller-financed mortgage for a house with 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths that meets our following criteria for a women’s home:
> A safe & affordable community
> Away from immediate areas that put these women at risk
> Close proximity to our ministry team and outreach base
> Close proximity to our church partners
> Ability to house up to 10 women at a time
There is an urgent call for a home of mercy to help women seeking safety, refuge and transformation from a life of homelessness, substance abuse and sexual exploitation. In the Mercer Country area, you see recovery for homes for those struggling with addiction or homeless shelters for those that need a place to lay their head- both siloed assistance that are typically secular and short-term programs. Nowhere in our immediate area do we find a long-term Christian recovery and residential program that deals with the spiritual, emotional, and physical issues women have faced having lived in the double-edged crisis of homelessness and addiction.
Our vision for the RHM Mercy House is to create a safe and stable refuge, a home of love and truth, where these women can move off of survival mode and into a place of safety and rest where they can be nurtured, cared for and rebuild their lives on the foundation that is Christ. The wounds of abuse, sexual exploitation and the other traumas from living on the street AND the traumas that brought them to the street, take time and ongoing support to heal. A healing that only Jesus can do!
We have 30 days to raise $57,000 for this home and YOU ARE PART OF THE KEY (literally.) ❤️ Please prayerfully consider partnering on this mission through donations, fundraising events or spreading the word.
