Renaissance Youth Center and its Junior Board are proud to announce the Second Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot! This year's event, a 5K run/walk in Central Park, will be held on Sunday, November 17th at 9:30 AM.

Our mission continues to aim at empowering at-risk Bronx inner city youth to fully maximize their potential as productive and responsible members of society. RYC offers a diverse program of dynamic, team-building education, music and sports, while focusing on instilling the importance of building strong communities.

Last year, our event was overwhelmingly successful, and since that time, we have implemented our "Code the Bronx" program. An exceptional group of 6th through 10th graders at RYC, through instruction from professional coders, have learned to build their own projects and websites. Code the Bronx round-two will kick off on Saturday October 19th, thanks to you guys.

Your contributions and support will help programs like Code the Bronx flourish and pave the way for future programs at RYC.

To those who participated last year, we look forward to seeing you again. To those who were not able to make it last year, we hope you can join us this time around.

The "Turkey Trot" will begin at the entrance to Central Park located at 90th Street and Central Park East (5th Avenue). The trot will consist of two laps around the Jackie Kennedy Reservoir. A donation of $25 is your entry ticket into the 5K. You can make your donation here and present proof of payment at the starting line.

If you are unable to attend, but believe in the value of our mission, you can still make a donation of any amount directly to RYC. Any donation is appreciated, as it will go a long way toward solidifying new programs at our Center.

Renaissance Youth Center's Junior Board is throwing our annual holiday party! There will be an open bar, appetizers, and a special performance from Music With a Message, the RYC youth band. 

This year, all proceeds go directly to help fund the launch of the Code the Bronx program, a 6-week intensive workshop that will provide valuable coding skills to children of the Bronx who might not otherwise have had the opportunity! The program launches in January 2019 and your generous donation will help towards its success.

We ask for a $35 donation for entrance to the holiday party. Any amount above that is greatly appreciated.
