His Only Way to Move Is Gone – Help James Get a Scooter
James is a homeless veteran. He served our country, but today, he sleeps outside in a Walgreens parking lot — with his loyal dog by his side.
We've been feeding James for a while now. He’s quiet, kind, and never asks for anything — but this week, something happened that broke our hearts: his mobility scooter stopped working.
James can barely walk due to medical issues. It’s medically documented that he needs the scooter just to get around. Without it, he’s stuck. Stranded. So today, we pushed him over a mile in the Florida humidity, just to get him and his dog back to where they rest at night.
He has nowhere to go. No family to call. No safe place to stay.
But his dog has stayed with him through it all.
We’re trying to raise money to:
Buy him a reliable mobility scooter
Help him and his dog get off the streets, even temporarily
Provide basic care and supplies for them both
He’s not asking for much. Just the ability to move again. To live with dignity.
If you can give anything — $5, $20, or more — it would truly make a difference.
If you’re in or near Celebration, FL and can help with shelter, supplies, or transportation, please reach out.
Let’s show James — and his dog — that they’re not forgotten.
