Refugee Camp Relief Fund
Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this! I have created this fundraiser for a nonprofit organization called The Peace Syndicate. The Peace Syndicate aims to help the less unfortunate by raising funds for issues that are not commonly talked about today. One of our many initiatives is Project Heart. Project Heart aims to raise funds through fundraisers such as this, donations, and sponsorships for international immigrants and refugees that don’t have access to proper medical equipment and are under the risk of contracting viral infections. This is especially so in times such as the current pandemic.
Our Cause:
Around the world, tens of millions of refugees are struggling to live another day. These refugees stay at camps, which can be breeding grounds for diseases. Out of the millions of deaths that occur in these camps each year, the majority of refugees die due to infectious diseases such as Measles, Acute Respiratory Diseases, Malaria, Tuberculosis, and now COVID-19. Due to the overcrowding of these camps, It is quite difficult to change the living conditions at these camps for refugees, but we can help treatment against these deadly diseases in other ways.
Our Solution:
Many of these camps are in rural areas and lack the proper medical supplies, especially pieces of modern medical equipment that can save the lives of millions of these refugees. We propose to raise awareness and money for the problems that these refugees face on a daily basis, and then donate the funds that we gain to international organizations that directly help refugees and immigrants.
Our Implementation:
Through Project Heart, The Peace Syndicate aims to raise funds to pay for medical equipment for those suffering at refugee camps. Now, we aim to raise $10,000 through sponsorships, fundraisers, and donations which we will then donate to Refugees International. This organization will then use these funds to advocate for lifesaving and protection required to help displaced people and solve displacement crises. We have also partnered with the Policy Initiatives Institute to raise awareness to issues that refugees face worldwide!
