Luke, a beloved friend, family member, and community member and former Red Lined board member recently lost his swift battle with stomach cancer. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Luke was a remarkable human known for his kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to others. He had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life, always offering a helping hand and a listening ear. His generosity was boundless, and he was especially passionate about the little things life had to offer.

Luke's life was a testament to the power of human connection. In the mid-90s, he was the fortunate recipient of a kidney donation, a gift that allowed him to live a full and meaningful life for 58 years. He cherished every moment and was always grateful for the selfless act that had saved his life.

He spent his time thrifting, collecting things that brought him joy, traveling, singing show tunes and making friends. He loved a good hair cut and wore proudly his greying beard. His signature.

Additionally he was a proud supporter of the LBGT community. Often found wearing a rainbow, funny hats, walking in the June Pride Parade, once invited to dance on the float where he was anointed with a pink feather scarf and lovingly marketed as "Gay Santa". A joy that he would share with anyone that would ask.

Unfortunately, Luke's battle with stomach cancer was swift and aggressive. Despite his strength and resilience, the disease proved to be too formidable. He passed away peacefully on October 9, 2024, leaving behind a loving family and a community that deeply mourns his loss.

He was a dedicated board member during it's initiation and a long-term volunteer for Red Lined, where he tirelessly served his community for years.

He also headed the Providence Wal-Mart Community Outreach program and raised thousands of dollars for Children'

Miricle Network during his near 30 year employment starting with the company when they were a grassroots business. He advocated for Providences Wanskuck Library for thier after-school care program more than once as Santa's Helper.

Nonno was a self proclaimed "elf" who's most world joy was Christmas itself. From tree trimming to Carolina and doily-s to village pieces, he never let a single moment of the holiday season pass him by.

Luke is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah, their three adoring children and his cherished granddaughter, his most "bestest" friend, Aubrey.
