Realities for Children Charities

• Providing school supplies to local children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or are at risk, enabling them to thrive academically
• Emergency funding for local programs that offer immediate assistance to at-risk children
• Youth activities and facilities space that foster a safe and nurturing environment for healing and growth

Our local kids need our help. Realities For Children and its partner youth agencies are seeing a dramatic rise in emergency needs for children that face abuse and neglect during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to increased need for support, services and care for children with open cases there are tremendous concerns for all the children in abusive homes during the stay at home orders.  With increased stressors in these homes and no teachers, counselors, outside family members or neighbors to see the abuse and make reports that protect these children we are very concerned for what the future holds when all these new issues come to light. Removing child abuse victims from these environments has proven more difficult than ever but with the help of the RFC Charities and their Partner Agencies, they are getting the support and safe placement they need. And we have several children that have tested positive and hospitalized or isolated in quarantine.  In all these cases, whether needing to get sexual abuse counseling, family visitation, new placements, staying up on homework so they don’t fall further behind, medical check ins or are hospitalized most all contacts are being done virtually.  This face to face connection has never been more crucial and they need ChromeBooks to do that. 

So this is where they need your help - I have found a school in California auctioning off lightly used ChromeBooks (with chargers) and have created this fundraiser to help pay for the auction and shipping of at least 40 ASUS ChromeBooks.

This fundraiser will be quick. The auction ends on April 16th at 6:43MDT. I need (the kids need) your help and we need it quickly.
